1) What is your policy for returns and exchanges? Chroma Nostaa Designs always aims for you to be 100% happy with every purchase. You can return, receive a refund or exchange any item, no questions asked within 14 days of your order date. After this period, exchanges will be assessed on a case by case basis. After 14 days, no refunds will be granted but an exchange or credit will be considered.

2) Is local order pick up available? Yes, local pick up is available in New Westminster, B.C.. Please choose this option during check out and we can arrange a time for pick up.

3) How strong are polymer clay earrings? Do they break easily? Polymer clay is a flexible and break resistant material with reasonable limitations. It is not recommended that polymer clay earrings are put into bags, pockets or suitcases on their own, as pressure from other items could put weight on the pieces.

At the end of the day, polymer clay is clay, and it has some limitations. When travelling or storing the earrings, we recommend that the pieces are put in a separate box or storage container where bumps and pressure on the pieces will be minimized.

4) Are the earrings and necklaces water proof? Polymer clay itself is water resistant, and if you wear the pieces in the water, it will not affect the integrity of the polymer clay. With that being said, we always recommend that you remove polymer clay earrings while in pools or showering and bathing. The findings used to assemble or suspend the pieces are either hypoallergenic stainless steel or 18k gold plated. These materials are tarnish resistant, but with limitations. Particularly, the gold plated pieces can tarnish if repeatedly exposed to moisture or acid. To preserve the shine and longevity of the pieces, store in a dry place and remove before going in water. Some of the designs contain brass accent pieces, and these are more vulnerable to tarnish than other materials, however they can be easily polished to restore shine.

5) Are polymer clay earrings heavy? Polymer Clay is a very lightweight and comfortable material. Earring weight will vary depending on whether the piece has metal accents or resin, however, most pieces are ultra lightweight even when they are statement (large) sized! Most people that pick up Chroma Nostaa Design’s pieces for the first time are surprised at how light the pieces are.

6) How can I best care for my pieces? We always recommend taking off jewelry before going into water. It is best to store the pieces in a dry environment, away from other heavy or sharp items. It is best to not wear gold plated jewelry when you will sweat a lot, because excessive moisture or acidity is not good for maintaining the shine and brilliance of the pieces.

7) How can I clean polymer clay if I get makeup on a piece? The easiest way and most effective way to clean polymer clay is with a cloth and acetone.

8) Where can I find Chroma Nostaa Designs in person? Chroma Nostaa Designs currently stocks seven stores in British Columbia (see stocklists and wholesale page for details). We are often popping up at events around greater Vancouver and encourage you to follow Chroma Nostaa Designs Instagram page often to stay informed about the next market dates.

9) Do you make custom orders? Yes, Chroma Nostaa Designs does custom orders, and prices will vary depending on the design. With that being said, there are periods in the year where capacity for custom orders will be limited. Please send us a message and we can chat more!
